MARLOWE
Originally named Merivale Flats and constructed in 1938, Marlowe is an Australian bistro located on Fish Lane in South Brisbane.
The identity balances tradition with warmth, responding directly to the building’s architecture and the atmosphere of the dining spaces. Drawing from classic bistro typography and iconography, as well as the ceiling reliefs, borders and room divisions, the system feels grounded and timeless. These architectural references informed both the graphic language and a strong use of embossing, allowing texture and relief to play a tactile role across printed applications. Bold, deliberate pops of colour reference the individual palettes of each dining suite.
